1. Who we are

Chatibara ("we", "our", "us") operates the Chatibara.xyz website and the Chatibara browser extension. Chatibara provides optional chat cosmetics (name paints, badges, icons, and related styling) that can appear in Kick.com and YouTube live chat for users who have the extension installed.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Chatibara, we may collect:

• Kick account information: public Kick username / user ID, and profile picture when provided by Kick OAuth, used to identify your Chatibara account and match cosmetics in Kick chat.
• Google / YouTube account information: described in detail in Section 3 below.
• Cosmetics preferences: paint presets, badges, icons, glow settings, fonts, and similar choices you save in your dashboard.
• Extension / site activity (limited): optional last-active signals (for example platform and extension version) used to operate and improve the service.
• Browser local storage: login/session-related preferences stored locally by the extension in your browser.

3. Google user data we access

When you choose Continue with Google or Connect YouTube, Chatibara uses Google OAuth and requests only the following Google API scopes:

• openid — to authenticate your Google identity for sign-in / account linking.
• email — to receive your Google account email address.
• profile — to receive basic profile information such as your Google name and profile picture.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly — read-only access to view your YouTube account / channel information (for example channel ID, channel title / handle) via the YouTube Data API.

What Google user data we access: your Google user ID, email address, name, profile picture, and your YouTube channel ID, channel title, and channel handle (when available).

We do not request permission to upload videos, manage your YouTube channel, read private messages, modify playlists, post comments, or access Gmail, Drive, or other unrelated Google services.

4. How we use Google user data

Chatibara uses Google user data only for the following purposes:

• Sign-in and account linking: to create or sign you into a Chatibara account, or to link Google / YouTube to an existing Kick-linked Chatibara account.
• YouTube channel verification: to confirm you own the YouTube channel being connected, and to store the verified channel ID / handle on your Chatibara profile so cosmetics can be associated with that channel.
• Displaying cosmetics in YouTube live chat: the Chatibara extension matches live-chat authors by YouTube channel ID and applies the cosmetics you selected (visible to other extension users).
• Account security and support: to prevent impersonation of another person's channel, and to help resolve account / linking issues when you contact us.

We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train unrelated AI/ML models. We do not use Google user data for any purpose other than providing or improving Chatibara's authentication and cosmetics features described above.

After the initial OAuth channel lookup, Chatibara does not keep a long-lived YouTube refresh token for ongoing background API polling of your Google account.

5. How we use other information

Kick identifiers and cosmetics preferences are used to provide, render, and synchronize your visual cosmetics on Kick and YouTube live chats for users of the Chatibara extension. We do not sell, rent, or trade user data to third parties.

6. Data sharing & third parties

We do not share your personal data with third-party advertisers. Service providers that help us operate Chatibara (for example hosting or payment processors, when you purchase a plan) may process limited data solely to provide those services. Network requests between the Chatibara extension / website and our servers at chatibara.xyz use HTTPS.

Google's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Data retention & deletion

We retain account and cosmetics data while your Chatibara account remains active. You can disconnect Google / YouTube from Dashboard → Settings → Connected Accounts, update cosmetics in your dashboard, or request deletion by contacting support. You may also revoke Chatibara's access to your Google Account at any time in your Google Account permissions.
